The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) has announced that it is embarking on an outreach program geared at the composites manufacturing sector. The association will use a web-based survey to map the B.C. composites community, with financial support from the NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program.

Preliminary research by consultants has found that over 200 B.C.-based enterprises supply to composites sectors, but their interests are not served by a single organization.

“If you work with composites in B.C., we want to hear from you,” said project leader David Roughley. “We need 15 to 20 minutes of your time to provide input to our survey. We think participants will get some real benefit from their involvement.”

The group will accept submissions until Dec. 15, 2007, and contributors will receive a results summary early next year. To learn more about the study, or to review the survey, visit the survey website.
